Hello, I am having issues with running demo.sh (the everyvoice demo) on my personal computer.
When checking with classmates, it seems the only difference we have is that they are running it on the ppls remote desktop while I am doing so through my own terminal. Am I being blocked by a firewall? and if so, how can I fix it?
Thank you.
You’ll need to provide more detail than “having issues” – what error message are you getting?
In Eddie, I put the demo.sh file in my project folder (with a unique unused node) and submitted it using qsub, once it started running I ran: ssh -N -L 6006:localhost:32298 eddie (with 32298 being the unique node) in another terminal window on my personal computer.
But when I go to localhost:6006 in my browser the page says it cannot load and I get multiple lines of this message in my terminal:
channel 2: open failed: connect failed: Connection refused
And when I check the job file with .e (demofile.e####) it starts with this message:
Host key verification failed.
I am connecting to Eddie through the terminal on my own computer and not using the ppls remote desktop.
Hello, I asked Korin about this during the lab and it has been resolved. The issue was that I had set up my ssh config file incorrectly. Thank you and I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
