Older version?

  Is the older version of this book (1962, 7th impression 1971) okay for the first few readings, or are there fundamental differences in the updated one? I know the newer version has more chapters, but are the chapters that are in the old edition still suitable for this course?

  The preface to the 2nd edition says that changes in the first six chapters are mainly small (updated terminology, improved figures). The other chapters have more significant updates or are completely new.

  For this course, the older edition will be OK, at least for the first 6 chapters.
