Festival technical problems

Hello,
I have some problems with festival in VM.
I can’t put “” (it comes out as @).
Also when I put (SayText “hello world”) a male voice just says “o” just in a second (less than a second maybe) and not clearly. It sounds like ‘hello world’ has been compacted just in a second in the vowel ‘o’.
Umm.. to be specific, it sounds like when you play really fast, you may barely hear what people are saying… it’s like that but in a second.

It would be really thankful if you could help me out of this problems!

You have two separate problems there.

The first is probably just the keyboard mapping for the VM. Try typing @ on your keyboard and you will probably get ” (for me this is shift plus the 2 key).

The other sounds like a common audio problem and the solution is here.

Just to add to what Simon has said – you can change your keyboard settings in the VM by going to Settings>Region & Language and adding an input source which matches your keyboard.

Thanks Matt!! Umm I couldn’t find Region&Language, but I went to Keyboard&Mouse and changed to ‘Profile’ which was ‘Mac Profile’ before.
And it works:D – thank you
