Configuring Voice in Festival

Hello! I had asked this in tutorial, but have run into further issues. I set up Festival on the VM and downloaded all of the files by following the Module 3 instructions, but I still don’t think I have the right voice. When I load Festival, I don’t get any extra information about the voice, and when I type festival config.scm into the terminal, it comes back with an error message. I’ve looked back through the other instructions but I’m unsure what to do.

The problem is almost certainly that you are not running the correct version of Festival. Make sure you have followed the instructions on changing your PATH. Post here what you see in the terminal when you type which festival.

Hi again. I tried to go through the configuration instructions again and it doesn’t seem to be working. I’m not sure what to do. The response I get when I type the command [which festival] is: /usr/bin/festival.

Oh yes, it says 2004 instead of 2017. I’ll go through the instructions again and see if I can get it to work.
