** Reply to my post: The problem is not with do_alignment. It’s about my script encoding. The error in encoding led to problems with train.scp.
Korin helped me a lot with this so I don’t remember all the steps he performed but with the script, make sure it is in the ASCII type that festival can read.

I got the “try a larger beam search thresh for HVite.” even though I both downsampled and end-pointed my files. Is there any other way that I should do so that I will not run into this problem?

This is not related to quiz 2 and quiz 3, but I have been wondering if my submission for quiz 1 can be viewed? Learn says that my submission is hidden. I really want to see which questions I got wrong so that I can consolidate my knowledge related to those questions more.
