The reason why Turnitin counts a few hundred more words than Overleaf is most likely because the word count of the reference is also counted in the body. In the length limits section of the formatting instructions of the assessment, it is clearly stated that the bibliography is not counted in the total number of words. I’m wondering if being marked in the CW1 feedback as more than 2000+10% which is 2200 words will have a negative impact on my score? If so, how can I claim to remove the impact?
