Myself and several others we confused in today’s lecture as we had not come across many of the terms stated under “what you should know from the videos” (for example, Nyquist Frequency etc.). We had all watched both the module 1 and 2 videos and completed the set reading (Handbook ch20 and Ladefoged ch4), but had not come across such terms.
So we’re concerned that there is further lecture prep to do each week that we are unaware of.
Thanks
The Nyquist frequency is defined and discussed in this blog post
which is listed in the “Start” tab of the “Foundations -> Signals” material here
which was the material you needed to cover before today’s 9.00 lecture. I perhaps didn’t make it clear enough about how to prepare for the foundation lectures – I will clarify that in a message to the class now.
