Hi,
I was wondering what text encoding is used by Festival. For example, I was looking at words not in the lexicon and it look like Festival didn’t recognise the letter “é” in a word such as “sauté”. In particular it returns the following:
“saut” not in lexicon. lts give (“saut” nil (((s ow t) 0)))
“▒” not in lexicon. lts give (“▒” nil nil)
Is this something related to the encoding of the text I am passing through? My sentences are encoded in utf-8.
Thanks,
Iacopo
Festival is showing its age: it doesn’t support UTF-8. It only supports ASCII.
Thank you, yes it works now!
